Senna was a brazilian racing driver. His deep need for racing began with an infatuation for a miniature go-kart his father gave him when he was four years old

He was born in 1960 in Brazil. At the age of 7 he learned how to drive family's Jeep around the farm where he was growing up at. Senna's first kart was build by his father, from whom he got a lot of support at a very young age and through the years. He attempted his first karting competition when he turned 13 years and won most of them. From 1978 to 1982 he contested the karting world championship in South America. after that Senna moved to England where he started his single-seater racing.

Despite the fact, that he should have taken on the family buisness he decided to continue racing after reciving a tremendous offer from formula ford 2000.

Formula one carrer

1984

First team Senna was competing with was Toleman . At the race in 1984 Monaco Grand Prix , it has been said, that he showed such phenomenal talent while rancing the leader Alain Prost. He finished second.

1985 - 1987

He join the Lotus team. Especially in the first year Senna retired from a few races due to car failure. And he had a huge accident in French grand prix. Though he won 6 races. As he realised he reached the limits of Lotus, he moved on.

1988 - 1993

Senna joined the Mclaren team. He stayed there for 6 seasons and won 35 races and three world championships.

1994

He joined the Wiliams team. And this same year a few rules have changes. They banned active suspension, traction control, and ABS. Senna himself said that “it's going to be a season with lots of accidents.” And so it was.

On the 1 of May, 1994 in the San Marino Grad Prix, Senna had a tragic accident. His car left the racing line at around 307 km/h and hit the concrete wall. His injuries were fatal. Three milion people lined the streets of brasil for his funeral.
